"[Calzona]'s decision to pursue a surrogacy is sadly 'a Band-Aid' for the troubled twosome," TVLine's Michael Ausiello reported. Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) have reconsidered their options after dealing with a surrogate toward the end of Grey's Anatomy Season 10.
"Their entire relationship has been a series of Band-Aids," Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes told TVLine, hinting at all the temporary solutions that Callie and Arizona have come up with since Arizona lost her leg. Season 11, based on Rhimes' teasers, will make Calzona "finally explore everything that's wrong."
What happens next to Callie and Arizona? Do they finally get to reach a more permanent resolution to their seasons-long conflict? For now, they remain standing on a shaky ground. Perhaps they would be able to completely heal before the end of Grey's Anatomy Season 11.
Where Calzona needs Band-Aids, Japril needs Folic Acid, literally. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) and Kepner are doing good, and they are looking forward to having baby Avery soon. Sarah Drew is likely to drop any props for her role, because she is pregnant with her second child with husband Peter Lanfer.
"Peter and I are delighted to announce our pregnancy," Drew was quoted in this People.com report. Drew proudly shows off her real baby bump in this Twitter photo. The post has drawn nearly 4,000 "favourites" and almost 2,000 "retweets" in under 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Karev is in a whole new world when Grey's Anatomy Season 11 premieres this fall on ABC. One, he becomes way more loaded on paper. Two, he has the chance to take a seat at the Grey Sloan Memorial Board, which has strongly criticised in the past.
Karev and Bailey are expected to clash because Webber (James Pickens, Jr) has already planted the idea in Bailey's head that she will have a place in the Board. However, Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) has made a move to give her seat and stocks to Karev in the 2014 finale of Grey's Anatomy.
Grey's Anatomy Season 11 premieres on Sept. 25 on ABC. The network's official site has announced Grey's is part of a 3-hour block featuring two other series created by Shonda Rhimes: "Scandal" and "How to Get Away with Murder."
