Wetpaint reveals that Patrick Fabian's character Dr. Oliver Lebackes will appear on "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11. The actor posted a picture of his in scrubs from the sets of "Grey's Anatomy" on June 30, 2014. The Web site notes that his Twitter photo suggests that the actor is already "filming scenes for season 11."

The entertainment website speculates that his return is an indication to Alex's "dilemma" regarding his career at Grey Sloan Memorial hospital and as an independent surgeon. At the same time, he has more money and Cristina's position as a director is waiting to be filled. What will he do next?

Furthermore, fans of the long-running medical drama must brace themselves for the return of Ellis Grey- Meredith Grey's deceased mother. In July, Shonda Rhimes told TV Line that "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 is "Meredith-centric season." Thus fans can expect a lot of key elements from Meredith's life to surface.

On August 6, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Kate Burton will be returning as Ellis Grey to "Grey's Anatomy." The website notes that this will be Kate Burton's "17th appearance" on the show. Her return comes in the wake of big reveal made in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 10 finale. Fans learnt that Richard Webber and Ellis Grey did not only have secret affair but also a secret "lovechild." Kelly McCreary will portray the role of the alleged lovechild Margaret Pierce "Maggie." She will be taking the place of Cristina Yang as cardiothoracic surgeon in Grey's Sloan Memorial Hospital. But will she be able to take the place of Meredith's other half-sister, Lexie?

TV Fanatic reveals that the first appearance of Meredith's mother "via flashback" can be expected on the premiere episode. The report notes that her appearance will "help explain the presence of Margaret Pierce."

Shonda Rhimes told TV Guide that "Maggie has been a piece of story that we have had and known since season 4- well, honestly since the beginning."

"We can literally go back and pull out moments of the show and I'm excited to do so, and point out where it was talked about. It's not going to be so hard to do," Shonda Rhimes told TV Guide while talking about "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11.

Looks like Meredith has a lot to deal with especially with Cristina gone and Derek's decision of taking up a job away from his family and Seattle in Washington. All this and the past may shadow Meredith's present.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 premieres Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 at 8:00pm on ABC.
