Meanwhile, Joe Adler and Giacomo Gianniotti, from CBS’ “The Mentalist” and The CW’s “Reign” respectively, are stepping in Grey Sloan Memorial as guest stars.

In a tweet, Luddington hinted at big moments in “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 11, episode 22. Still on Twitter, the actress responded to an all-caps message from a follower, asking “what else” can happen. To this, Luddington replied, “a lot” can happen in the ABC medical drama. (See her tweets below.)
Luddington’s Jo Wilson is Alex Karev’s (Justin Chambers) girlfriend on “Grey’s Anatomy.” The couple has not faced any serious problems in the show’s recent timeline. It remains to be seen whether they figure in something bigger in the final episodes of Season 11.

Meanwhile, Joe Adler and Giacomo Gianniotti will be seen in the next new episode(s) of “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 11. TVLine reported Adler will be in the story arc for the season finale. Adler played Jason Wylie in CBS’ “The Mentalist.”
TVLine’s Michael Ausiello is guessing Gianniotti is playing the role of a new intern at Grey Sloan Memorial. He also said Gianniotti may be playing a recurring character. Gianniotti played Remy/Lord Julien in “Reign.”
“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 11, episode 21 airs Thursdays on ABC. This week, it takes the primetime slot of “Scandal.”
