“Grey’s Anatomy” fans are getting more and more interested about the drama that’s taking place outside the hospital. They want to know more about their favourite doctors and what goes on in their personal lives. For this coming season, it looks like viewers would get just that and even much more, especially as somebody’s mother will be paying the hospital a visit very soon.
Spoiler alert! This article contains “Grey’s Anatomy” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.
Maggie’s (Kelly McReary) mother is finally coming to “Grey’s Anatomy.” The character, named Diane, will be played by LaTanya Richardson who will be gracing the hospital with her presence in the episode to air on February 9, 2017.
While this may work to the excitement of a lot of fans, no details have been revealed yet as to why she will be seen at Grey Sloane. However, it was revealed earlier that the Maggie’s adoptive parents were about to get divorced. Fans might remember that Maggie’s biological parents are Ellis Grey and Richard Webber.
LaTanya Richardson is actually no stranger to TV shows, writes Entertainment Weekly. In fact, “Grey’s Anatomy” viewers might have seen her somewhere else before. She is actually the wife of popular actor Samuel L. Jackson and was seen before in other programs, including “Blue Bloods” and “Luke Cage.”
As for Jo (Camilla Luddington), a recent interview with TV Line teased what could happen to Alex and Jo in the second half of the present season of “Grey’s Anatomy.” This is particularly because Jo’s husband has not been seen on the small screen for a while now.
Luddington said that she thinks such will happen when things go well between them, since that is the way the show works. They are currently in a very desperate situation so such might not happen immediately. However, there is a huge possibility it will happen before the season ends.
"Grey's Anatomy" will return in January 26 at 8 p.m. on ABC in the US. It also airs on Channel Seven in Australia.
