Yang and Hunt: It's About Time, Isn't It?
Since Season 9 premiered, fans have eagerly awaited how the Yang-Hunt story arc would develop. Spoilers have been raised that this couple will revisit their decision to separate. And they were expected to reunite (even after Yang got herself a "sex friend" in Minnesota).
One of the early assumptions is that Yang would realize how Hunt means to her after being stuck in the woods following the plane crash. It turns out that the plane crash would be instrumental to their reconciliation, but it had to be a tad more complicated.
Hunt tried to divorce Yang to un-complicate a lawsuit, and that's how Yang eventually came through. And then they gave the viewers the season's most awaited kiss. Finally!
Why Bailey Had to Leave Wedding No. 2
Bailey had been having a difficult time keeping up with her groom's enthusiasm on their wedding plans. Come the wedding day, she had even thought of driving herself to her second should-be-no-big-deal wedding. Good thing Webber came to pick up the bride in a limo. But then Adele needed their help.
Bailey is a mom first, a doctor second. Being a wife came third, and that is how marriage no. 1 did not work out. Now being a bride came third. Is her relationship with Ben doomed?
"(S)he wasn't choosing not to get married in that moment but she had to stay where she was needed," Rhimes told The Hollywood Reporter. She assured fans there was no reason to worry for Ben and Bailey.
"He has an incredible faith, it's almost like he's not even worried about it," Rhimes said further. "He knows her very well."
Rhimes' last statement confirms that Bailey is with a different man this time around. She had to follow her calling even on her wedding day, but it's okay. This way, Ben's character could further be revealed. And Bailey would see that this time, she got really lucky.
So while Grey's fans wait for the series to come back in January, they can relax. As far as Bailey's storyline is concerned, all is well.
