Grey's Anatomy Season 9 finale is happening this month. Avid viewers of the series have been advised to brace themselves for a catastrophe that will strike the newly renamed Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

The spoilers and teasers reported by various entertainment sites point to some clues on what could come into play on Grey's Anatomy Season 9 finale: someone will fight for life, a superstorm is coming, doctors will deal with serious personal dramas and the "monsters" in their lives.

The previous episode featured Miranda Bailey on voice-over, talking about "Sleeping Monster." She hints of some approaching chaos when she declares, the monsters are awake now. Cristina Yang's monster was the last to surface, so viewers know her relationship with Owen Hunt is definitely in trouble.

On Twitter, Ellen Pompeo appears to have hinted what her character Meredith Grey would be saying at the finale: "I want to live." This makes for a complete circle in the life of the twisted Mer, who, some years ago, was ready to die underwater.

Grey's Season 9 finale spoilers also point to a superstorm about to wreak havoc in the hospital. Patients' lives will be at risk and their families will help the medical professionals save lives. In the midst of the natural disaster, the characters will be dealing with their personal issues. Chandra Wilson talks about this in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

"The bottom line is everybody has to rally in order to still be at the hospital, and all the personal drama is there and that needs to be worked out in the midst of that," Wilson said.

What "monsters" will the viewers see? Perhaps Meredith's anxiety over giving birth is one of these monsters. Jo Wilson's fear of her feelings for Alex Karev is another. Another monster is in April Kepner's guilt over blaming Jackson Avery and hurting his feelings again (if she ever realized how difficult it's been for him). And then there's the Crowen (Cristina-Owen) relationship doom.

Grey's Anatomy Season 9 finale comes in two parts: "Readiness is All" and "Perfect Storm." The episodes will air in the U.S. via the ABC network on May 9 and May 16, respectively.
