‘Grimm’ Season 2 Spoilers: Renard’s Kiss Makes Things (More) Complicated
SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers about this week's episode of "Grimm."
Grimm Season 2 Episode 7 will feature a face-to-face encounter between Juliette and Captain Renard. Avid viewers of the fantasy/crime procedural series have been waiting for this moment. You just know things are going to get complicated for Nick, Juliette and Renard. But how?
For those who have missed some episodes, here's what happened to Juliette so far, six episodes into Grimm Season 2:
- The season starts with Juliette still in coma after having been scratched by Adalind's cat.
- Renard finds out how to wake up Juliette, thinking that Nick could be more difficult to manage in the event that she dies.
- Adalind's mother gives Renard a purifying potion for Renard's heart so his kiss could detox Juliette.
- Renard kisses Juliette, but she does not wake up instantly.
- Juliette eventually wakes up, just after Renard has left her hospital room. But she has lost all her memories of Nick. (Juliette's case has since been called a "Nick-nesia.")
As of Episode 6, Juliette is still trying to get to know Nick. This week, on "The Bottle Imp," Juliette meets Renard for the first time since the kiss, which she (supposedly) does not know has happened.
Adalind, who has been missing for six episodes now will return this week. Incidentally, Clarie Coffee, who plays Adalind, has been promoted to series regular. Things are really going to get more complicated for Nick and Juliette.
Meanwhile, Sasha Roiz, the actor who plays Nick's boss, Captain Renard, recently revealed he had no idea what his role really is at the beginning of the series. When people asked him if he were ever going to morph, he always answered with a negative. But who can blame him? He didn't know, apparently.
"I was genuinely answering as honestly as I believed it to be. 'No, I'm just a Royal, and that's my position such as royalty. I don't need to morph. I have a control and domain over these creatures.' So I had no idea. So when season 2 began, and they told me, 'By the way, you're half hexenbiest,' that's amazing, first of all, because they even had me fooled, and secondly, what a great story," he told InsideTV.
