‘Grimm’ Season 5, Episode 15: Adalind speaks to Eve, Renard gets a double (Recap)
In “Grimm” Season 5, Episode 15 (“Skin Deep”), Adalind (Claire Coffee) and Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) finally get to speak to one another albeit on the phone. It is awkward and “creepy,” as Adalind described it to Nick (David Giuntoli). Meanwhile, a second Renard (Sasha Roiz) emerges in the story.
Spoiler alert: This recap contains “Grimm” Season 5 spoilers. Details include the highlights of the latest episode.
To recap Grimm 5x15, Eve calls Nick to give him more information about Renard, whom she suspects is being used by a certain person or group. (The viewers know Eve is right, but there is still some mystery as to the real boss behind the group that is trying to get Renard involved.)
Nick was having an adorable moment with baby Kelly when Eve called, so he let Adalind answer his phone.
“How are you?” Eve asks Adalind, who finds the former’s tone disturbing.
Meanwhile, it is revealed that Eve still has the magic hat that enabled Adalind to morph into Juliette. She realized the hat would help her find out more about the people reaching out to Renard. Toward the end of “Grimm” Season 5, Episode 15, Eve successfully cloned Renard, leaving viewers with a lot of speculations on what happens next.
In the grimm case of the week, Nick, Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) trace back the uncanny deaths of two victims whose body aged by decades moments before their death. The Wesen responsible for the deaths is Musasat Al-Shabab a.k.a. Malcolm (Jonathan Patrick Moore).
Musasat literally sucks out the essence of youth and gives it to a cosmetologist (Patrick Fabian) who then uses it to treat his patients, mostly aging women. Rosalee (Bree Turner) takes on an undercover duty to find out more. Things get nasty, and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) quickly comes to her rescue.
“Grimm” Season 5, Episode 15 does not move things forward when it comes to the following storylines: the magical healing stick that was hidden by the seven knights with seven keys, baby Diana and the big bosses at Black Claw (“Occultatum Libera”).
No Eve-Adalind scene followed after the brief phone exchange, but fans are expecting another Hexenbiest face-off in the coming episodes. Incidentally, Adalind has yet to tell Nick that her wesen powers are back.
