GTA 5 $500,000 Reward, But Bad News for Lost Characters; San Andreas Character Featured in DLC?
With everything that has been happening with GTA 5 and GTA Online, Rockstar Games has become very generous and rained a $500,000 "stimulus package" for those who are planning to play GTA Online this month.
The half a million cash will be delivered to your GTA Online bank accounts as early as next week. These will be done in two deposits of $250,000 according to Rockstar Games Newswire.
"For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet," said Rockstar Games.
Sadly, the reward is also compensation for those who may have lost characters and progress while playing the game, as these can no longer be restored. Better to make use of the money to start a new life, so to speak, in Los Santos.
More details: Are you one of the recipients of the GTA$?
Check out a few of Rockstar Games' requirements and points on what to do before you can enjoy the $500,000 reward. First, you should have played or must play GTA Online during October 2013 so you will qualify for the GTA $500,000 reward in your GTA Online bank account.
Second, you should install an upcoming GTA 5 title update 1.04, which the developer will be bringing in sometime next week. This update will fix anymore issues that may cause vehicle purchase loss. It update will also enable functionality that will basically allow the reward transfer to push through.
All you need to do is wait for and install the title update, and be on the lookout for when Rockstar Games announces the availability of the GTA$ cash reward.
DLC already in the works?
With the success of GTA 5 turning almost a month old, and with things starting to get back on track for GTA Online, the next concern now is how to extend the success of the game via DLCs.
At IGN's GTA 5 panel held at New York Comic Con, the voice actors of two of the characters got into a discussion, and the name Carl "CJ" Johnson, the lead from GTA: San Andreas, came up.
To be specific, the name of the voice actor for CJ, Young Malay, may be in a project with Shawn "Solo" Fonteno, who voices Franklin in GTA 5. No details have been supplied yet, but it's only a matter of time until Rockstar Games starts to roll out news about the GTA 5 DLC.
