Looks like Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 on PC will happen sooner than anticipated, based on the overwhelming demand for it, as evidenced by an online petition, which already has more than 600,000 signatures.

The said online petition is aimed at convincing Rockstar Games, the developer and publisher of GTA 5, to release a PC version of the popular game.

Last 2012, the petition only had about 40,000 signatures, then it grew to 470,000 in mid-September 2013. And, it never stopped growing. Now, about 612,149 signatures can be found on the online petition.

It can be found on the website change.org. It is called the "Rockstar: Release GTA V on PC" petition, which was started by Mike Julliard of Toronto, Canada. The petition also states that GTA 5 must be released on PC "because GTA is an amazing PC game and the idea of it not being on PC is a mistake!"

The PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is something that a lot of PC fans are looking forward to. According to Intel, the game will be out on PC soon, but no exact release date was mentioned. Lots of rumours are even proliferating in the Internet about the GTA 5 PC version's impending release date, including one that says it will be out next spring in 2014.

Based on the history of Grand Theft Auto games being released for PC, GTA 5 fans should expect GTA 5 PC in early to mid-2014 because the older GTA game Grand Theft Auto 4 was released about 6 or 7 months after the console version designed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles was released.

Despite the rumours swirling around on when the GTA 5 PC version will be made and released, some fans still can't help but worry that it will never happen. This is because some Rockstar Games, such as Red Dead Redemption was never released on PC.

But, GTA 5 and PC fans need not worry because according to PC Gamer, Chris Silva, Intel notebooks' director of marketing said that GTA 5 won't be exclusively available for console.

"I don't think it'll be console-exclusive very long. But that's what happens when you have a brand new launch with two companies that have lots of money trying to make sure they have content," Silva said.
