"GTA Online" Ill-gotten Gains update week is serving up some discounts on rides and outfits. Rockstar Games

“GTA Online” players know that only the online component of the game is currently the only one getting support from developer Rocktar Games. But a new report hints that this is not necessarily a bad thing, as it could be proof that the developer is already working on “GTA 6.”

A report from an unnamed source had told TechRadar that work on “GTA 6” is already on the preliminary stages. As far as where it will be set, the source had not identified, as it seemed that the developer has not pinpointed a location either.

The issue of location had been an experimental thing with Rockstar Games. The same source had confirmed that the developer had explored putting “Grand Theft Auto” in the context of Japan’s Tokyo, though several issues came up during the research and planning phase.

Among these issues include changes in terms of the vehicles and brands used in the game, some of which have been a staple in the franchise. Tokyo was not the only place outside of the U.S. that Rockstar Games has considered for its “GTA” franchise, such as Bogota and even Sin City, both filed for trademarks that did not materialise.

For players on “GTA Online,” Rockstar Games is currently holding the Ill-Gotten Gains week. Fans can access some good discounts and playlists where double RP can be earned. This should serve as the last call, since the event is ending on March 31 only, as announced over the official Rockstar Newswire.

To recap what can be obtained at discounted prices, these include an exclusive in-game shirt that’s free to all players. The only step needed is for “GTA Online” players to log in to their game to get the shirt with the logo from “The Should of Orion II” on it. Sea Races are still available for Double RP Race playlists. Until the last day arrives, the playlists are easily replayable via the pause menus in “GTA Online.”

Ill-gotten vehicles at the Legendary Motorsport are on a 25 percent discount. On the list are the Coil Brawler, the Progen T20, the Invetero Coquette, the BlackFin, the Dinka Vindicator and the Lampadati Toro. Additionally, these can be modified with parts also at a discounted price via Los Santos Customs.

All of the outfits and body tattoos included in the Ill-Gotten Gains Update will now be at 50 percent off. The Knuckle Dusters are currently enjoying the same discount price.
