‘GTA V' PC System Requirements Update: Rockstar Keeps Mum, Confirms Version Release Date On Jan. 27
Rockstar Games has yet to announce any updates regarding the availability of the PC version of "GTA V." Reports claimed developers plan to delay the release of the game. Other rumours also circulated asking gamers to do some system updates on their end in preparation for the game.
However, developers confirmed that "Grand Theft Auto V" will still be coming to the PC on Jan. 27. "We have not announced any changes to this date at this time," Rockstar wrote on its newswire. Developers also addressed the rumours that have circulated regarding the needed system updates for the game. On their Support page, Rockstar announced "System requirements for the PC version of GTAV are not yet available."
However, with the game's release date coming so close, gamers are wondering why no specs have been released yet. User Natino Dimeo, M.D. took to Rockstar's Twitter Support page to claim that it's "weird" there are no specs announced yet. Likewise, Cinema Blend claims the Steam page also doesn't reveal any details regarding the system updates needed for "GTA V." Instead, fans are encouraged to "log in to the Support site" and subscribe to receive updates on the release of the system requirements.
Developers are not giving any exact release date. Instead, they assured gamers the PC version of "GTA V" will have updates to the graphics and audio features of the game. "Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will feature a range of major visual and technical upgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever," Rockstar said.
It reportedly took a year before Rockstar finally confirmed the version will also be available, after it was released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2013. One of the major causes of delay according to Gamerant is believed to be the system requirements needed to perfect the game, especially its graphics. Developers have to consider the "variation of builds" from graphic cards, sound cards and the required amount of RAM needed in a PC.
