‘GTA V’ Updates: Thirty-Players Feature, 1080p Resolution For PS4 Version---Report
Rockstar Games has yet to release details regarding its next-gen console games including "Grand Theft Auto V." However, according to a recent report, the PS4 version of "GTA V Online" will supposedly no longer be in 720p resolution.
The latest issue of PlayStation Magazine claims "big changes" are in store for "GTA V Online" for the PS4 ahead of its November 18 release. One of these changes could be the game's resolution. According to Gamespot, the publication seems to confirm the PS4 version would run in 1080p resolution. "Glimmering 1080p presentation, hugely increased draw distance, 100 new songs, fresh wild-life, a bumper version of GTA Online, this is sandbox you've dreamt about ever since you slotted Sony's angular baby under your TV," Gamespot quoted the publication.
It's reportedly time to say goodbye to the 720p resolution for "GTA V Online." It has supposedly already served its "purpose adequately enough." "Still, our eyes have been gagging for 1080p's pin-sharp pleasures and the Los Santos sandbox is only too happy to oblige on PS4, running at a native 1920x1080 pixels," PlayStation Magazine writes.
The 1080p resolution for the PS4 version of "GTA V Online" will reportedly enhance images. According to Gamespot, the magazine claimed that even distant billboards "pop with clarity." Furthermore, the publication supposedly confirmed that "texture assets have been reworked across the entire game."
The Sixth Axis claimed PlayStation Magazine also revealed that "GTA V Online" for the PS4 will now support a maximum of 30 players. The next-gen version will reportedly also have a "drastically-reduced" vehicle pop-in. However, this new development is still pending confirmation from Rockstar Games. Gamespot has contacted the company and awaits its comment on the report.
This wouldn't be the first time PlayStation Magazine has released details pertaining to the next-gen console games for Rockstar. According to the International Business Times, the publication also piqued gamers' curiosity on an upcoming zombie DLC for "GTA V Online." The magazine's August cover hints players could be battling against zombies. The headline states "Ruuuun....It's A Zombie Outbreak."
The zombie DLC for "GTA V Online" was even rumoured to be a "possible perk" for the PS4 version. However, like the 1080p resolution, this is likewise pending Rockstar Games' confirmation.
