A scene showing Peter Quill flirting with an alien girl was cut in the film "Guardians of the Galaxy." The director of the movie, James Gunn, explains some of the scenes that were cut and explained some of the difficult processes involved with creating an alien look for a character.

A blue female alien, played by Simara Dixon, was supposed to feature in a scene flirting with the character Peter Quill. There were supposed to be two scenes with the actress and one of them involved Peter flirting with the blue alien in the middle of the fighting with Rocket, Groot and Gamora at the mall.

The actress Simara is also important in "Guardians of the Galaxy," according to the director, because she was one of the models who was involved with the experiments to choose the colour for the alien look. The director finally settled on blue after extensive research. Apparently the most difficult colour to work with was green, a colour used for the skin tone of Gamora in the movie. Another deleted scene involved one of the guards who took away Peter Quill's walkman. The scene was about the guard dancing around in the prison listening to the songs on the walkman. The scene will be made available on the Blu-Ray disc of the movie, which is expected to be released soon. The director however refused to share the exact release date of the Blu-Ray.

The actor who played the prison guard received a Play-Doh for his performance. The director has handed out Play-Dohs to many of the top performers in "Guardians of the Galaxy." The director recalls giving out about 40 containers of Play-Doh during the filming of the movie. The director James Gunn is currently working on "Guardians of the Galaxy" 2, which is slated to be released in 2017. Important questions, like the identity of Peter Quill's father are expected to be revealed in the upcoming movie. The characters Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket will feature in the movie along with the infamous Yondu Udonta.
