James Gunn, the director of "Guardians of the Galaxy," shared a video of him dancing like Baby Groot. Fans of the franchise who have watched the movie will remember the end scene where Baby Groot dances to music when no one is looking. The director also shared his list of favourite songs of 2014 and called it "Awesome Mix 2014."

James Gunn was at an event called Doug Loves Movies podcast along with cast members of "Guardians of the Galaxy" Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn. YouTube user Colty Harrison shared a video that was taken during the event.

The director has confirmed that he was the motion reference for the Baby Groot dance that featured in the movie. The dance was a response to a request by the event organisers to showcase his dancing talents. The organisers started to play Jackson Five's "I Want You Back" for him to dance to.

James Gunn only started to dance after confirming with the organisers the event was not being recorded. But within a few seconds into his dance the director realised "a hundred cameras" were aimed at him. Many of the audience members were recording his dance moves on their cell phones. The director said he had forgotten fans "did that all the time."

The director said he was not "too embarrassed" about the dance and posted the video on his official Facebook page for his fans to enjoy. James Gunn has been very active on social media to share some of his thoughts, photos and videos with fans and also answer some of the questions.

James Gunn recently shared his favourite songs of 2014. He called his collection "Awesome Mix 2014." The name is very similar to the tape used by the protagonist in the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy." The director said he and his brothers shared their favourite songs every year with each other and considered it helpful for putting a list of songs together for his movie.

James Gunn shared 20 songs as his favourites of 2014. The songs include "Action Cat" by Gerard Way, "Not This Time" by The 2 Bears, "Tin Foiled" by Andrew Bird and "Take Me to the Church" by Hozier. Movie buffs are eagerly waiting for the list of songs that will feature in the sequel to "Guardians of the Galaxy" that is slated to be released in 2017.
