'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2': Fans get a chance to be a superhero in the movie
Cast member Chris Pratt and director James Gunn appear in a new video that was filmed on the set of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” The producers have teamed up with the charity organisation Omaze and are giving one lucky fan the chance to be featured as a superhero in the movie.
In the video, Pratt (Star Lord) tried to give away anything he could think of from the set. The humorous video and the campaign has been created to help Lake Stevens Boys and Girls Club, which is located in Pratt’s hometown of Lake Stevens, Washington.
“I want to make you the newest Guardian of the Galaxy,” Pratt said in the video. The lucky fan who donates for charity will get a chance to be on the set with the other cast members and be featured in the movie. The actor also gave the viewers a tour of the set, in his trademark humorous style.
Pratt also drew a few pictures, which he said were his ideas for some costumes for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” Pratt’s “art” is also up for grabs for those who donate.
One big question that the forthcoming movie is set to reveal is the identity of Star Lord’s father. Pratt considered revealing who Peter Quill’s father is, but was stopped at the nick of time by Gunn. The director told the actor that he doesn’t understand what a “spoiler” is. Pratt said that he understands the word, as he had it on his Honda CRX way back in high school.
Pratt also promised in the video that the luck fan will get a chance to ride a forklift on set and “jump it.” “We’re gonna build a jump and you’re gonna jump that forklift,” the actor said.
Filming of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” has already begun. The movie is slated to be released on May 5, 2017 in the US. The release date of the movie in Australia has still not been revealed by the producers.
