Known for her role as Hermione Granger in the epic fantasy series "Harry Potter," Emma Watson is doing all kinds of things not "Potter" related. The actress recently premiered her Bible epic movie "Noah" with Australian actor Russell Crowe and now Guillermo del Toro's "Beauty and the Beast" is close to being made with Emma to play as Belle.

The former Hogwarts alumnus has been courted to play two of fairytale's famous roles, "Cinderella" and "Beauty and the Beast." But the English actress is leaning towards Warner Bros. live-action "Beauty and the Beast" to be directed by Guillermo del Toro. The film was planned to be released in 2012 but due to del Toro's numerous projects the film was put on hold.

Currently working on his latest film "Crimson Peak" with "Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam and "Thor's" Tom Hiddleston, the Mexican director is known for his historical fantasy and horror films. When asked about his views about the horror genra, the director explains that horror comes with two faces.

"Much like fairy tales, there are two facets of horror," says the 49-year-old "Hellboy" director in an interview with Time magazine. "One is pro-institution, which is the most reprehensible type of fairy tale: Don't wander into the woods, and always obey your parents. The other type of fairy tale is completely anarchic and antiestablishment."

Five Reasons Why Emma Watson is the Fairest Belle

1. The 23-year-old Brown student has won countless awards for playing Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" series. Back in 2002 she took home the Leading Young Actress award in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards for Best Supporting Role in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." Her last award for the movie was 2011's Teen Choice Awards where she scored the Best Actress award in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows -Part 1."

2. Her outstanding performance in the book adaptation of the "Perks of the Wallflower" earned Watson another milestone in her career as she tries to do other roles. She won in the 2013's People's Choice Awards Best Supporting Actress for the movie.

3. The actress recently wowed the red carpet with her white backless gown as she premieres her latest movie "Noah" together with co-star Logan Lerman. Her evolving red carpet styles are getting more and more sophisticated as she transitions from child star to a mature dramatic actress.

4. "I loved my role," says Watson when about her role in "Noah" in an interview with Reuters. "She's got such a huge heart. She's very wise, very relatable, and then you hear about the cast, it's like Russell Crowe and Sir Anthony Hopkins and Jennifer Connelly and Ray Winstone. And you realize that it's the opportunity to work with people who really are at the top of their game."

5. Fans are looking forward for Emma to play Belle as a gorgeous young woman fell in love with a cursed prince. With del Toro's imaginative twist, "Beauty and the Beast" is another fantasy film that fans have to watch out for.
