Good news for Gunners fans in Australia. The band Guns N' Roses is tipped to play at the end of the year for the Telstra Sydney 500 V8 Supercars.

Reports from The Daily Telegraph say that the organisers for the festival are eyeing Guns N' Roses to lead the event which will be held from December 3 to 5 at the Olympic Park.

"The Gunners are the No. 1 target and they've indicated they are willing to do it," a source said.

"It's just a matter of getting the contracts signed."

This is a great achievement for the organisers, following the successful reformation of Gold Chisel for last year's show.

There are several stories about GN'R frontman Axl Rose's attitude during tours. Last week, Triple M's Ugly Phil spoke with Matthew Tuck from Bullet For My Valentine, a band that GN'R played with in 2006.

"It was totally odd... like a circus," Tuck recalls.

"Every night, Axl was so unpredictable and he was winding people up including the 10,000 people that paid [for their tickets]."

Axl has been famous for making people tick off and has been doing it a lot lately that people are sceptic that it may be just an act.

"I don't know what the guy's deal is," Tuck said.

"He's strange. He does anything he wants to do and that's the way he is. He doesn't give a s**t."
