People Magazine has named Iron Man 3 lead female star, Gwyneth Paltrow as this year’s Most Beautiful Woman, beating Hollywood’s highest paid and A-list actresses including Robert Pattinson’s sweetheart, Kristen Stewart, singer Beyonce, and Oscar winning star, Jennifer Lawrence. The magazine, which honors Paltrow in its annual “World’s Most Beautiful,” will hit the stand on Friday, April 26.

Paltrow is not only an Academy winning and multi-nominated actress, she has been on top of her game as a cookbook author, blogger, and lifestyle pontificator and the 40-year-old wife of Coldplay singer, Chris Martin, has added another title to her multi-awarded name: as this year’s Most Beautiful Woman.

The mother of two has always been considered one real fashion icon, and her fashion style has always been predicted and/or included as one of the best dressed actresses in any of Hollywood’s events that she attended. Rarely, but not completely untrue, Gwyneth has also been included in the list of worst-dressed actresses in some high profile entertainment event in Hollywood.

When asked by the People magazine what makes her feel beautiful, Gwyneth noted, said CBC News that it is when "around the house, I'm in jeans and a T-shirt. I don't really wear makeup."

Gwyneth said: "I feel my most beautiful when I am truly myself."

Brad Pitt’s ex-gf and whom he had almost married before marrying Jennifer Aniston, had earned the respect of the People magazine and her fellow stars for keeping herself young ang looking beautiful. According to CBC News, Paltrow has attributed her feeling great to her workout routine.

The actress who has also appeared in more than one episodes in Glee can actually sing. But she gleefully beats her R&B singer friend, Beyonce, who earned the title from the People Magazine last year.

The co-star of Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr also took the title from other highest-paid and Academy-winning actresses, including Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence. Kristen was named as 2012’s highest-paid actress and this could represent her popularity and contribution to the entertainment industry. K-Stew has also come out big winner in many award giving bodies this season, which could only mean that not only has she left her difficult year behind her, but she had also struggled to keep on top of her game as an actress amidst controversies. A rare thing in Hollywood.

Jennifer Lawrence could have also been a major candidate for the coveted iconic title after nabbing the elusive, Best Actress Award from The Oscars 2013 for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. Lawrence had also been named as one of the 100 Top Most Influential People by the Time Magazine, and this major recognitions could have been a big push for her to be chosen as the Most Beautiful Woman, not Paltrow.

The award has taken by surprise Paltrow herself. When informed of the title announced by People Magazine on Wednesday, April 24, this year’s Most Beautiful Woman underscored that she didn’t take it seriously.

"I honestly thought someone was playing a joke on me," Paltrow was quoted as saying by CBC News as she described her reaction when first told of the honour bestowed by the celebrity magazine.

She added: "I had to reread the e-mail three times...It's a very iconic cover in American culture, so it's just amazing."
