Gwyneth Paltrow, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, is following in her rock star husband's footsteps. The Oscar-winning actress is set to launch her own music album.

Gwyneth plays a country music singer in her upcoming film Country Strong, opposite real life music star Tim McGraw and actress/singer Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl, and has recorded the title track.

Featuring backing vocals from Vince Gill and Patty Griffin, the song is set for chart success as movie bosses prepare to launch it as a single.

Gwyneth had her singing debut in the 2000 film Duets, wherein she did a cover of Smokey Robinson's Cruisin'. Released as a single, Cruisin' held the number one spot in Australia, while her rendition of the Kim Carnes classic Bette Davis Eyes hit no. 3.

In the 2006 film Infamous, Gwyneth sang What Is This Thing Called Love. On September 27, 2006, she performed with rapper Jay-Z during his concert at Royal Albert Hall.

Country Strong will be out on August 23.
