Gwyneth Paltrow Is Magazine’s Most Hated Hollywood Celebrity

It's no secret that Gwyneth Paltrow has the ability to make people, women in particular, raise their eyebrows whenever she preaches about her healthy but expensive lifestyle, or brags about how she raises her children. But her haters seem to have multiplied suddenly as she tops the 20 Most Hated Celebrities in Hollywood list by Star magazine.

The Hollywood royalty's unpopularity apparently started in 2007 when she launched her weekly lifestyle newsletter, Goop. The health and lifestyle newsletter came across as being elitist and preachy. The lifestyle that she endorses seems farfetched to ordinary readers, giving her a snotty reputation.

She also infuriated parents when she said once in an interview that she doesn't allow son Moses and daughter Apple to watch English programmes. Instead she buys cartoons in French and Spanish so they grow up to be polyglots.

Gwyneth doesn't need to worry much, though, since the list only reflects what the readers of the magazine think and not of the general populace. While she isn't exactly a popular choice, it's still unlikely that she would rank higher than Chris Brown (#20) or even Justin Bieber (#8), had the survey reached more people.

Coming at close second is "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart. The 23-year-old actress didn't have a likable status to begin with as she had the habit of appearing either bored or annoyed in interviews and red carpet events. But it was her affair with married man Rupert Sanders, the director of her film "Snow White and the Huntsman," that her reputation plummeted further. Her relationship with "Twilight" co-star and real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson apparently suffered after her revelation.

Oscar Best Supporting Actress winner Anne Hathaway also made the list. Rather than warm up to the audience, the "Les Miserables" actress rubbed them the wrong way. Some online commenters explained that she appeared insincere and scripted during her acceptance speech.
