Fans of Goop publisher and Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow are in for a treat as she showcases her musical talent and acting ability in her new movie Country Song, out by June 2011.

"Country Strong" tells the story of a rising country-music songwriter played Garett Hedlund who sparks with a fallen rehab released star played by Gwyneth Paltrow. Together, they mount his ascent and her comeback, which leads to romantic complications involving her husband and manager played Tim McGraw and a beauty queen-turned-singer portrayed by Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester.

It has been more than a decade since Gwyneth Paltrow won her Oscar nod for her tun in Shakespeare in Love. Will she finally get another with Country Song, after all Reese Witherspoon sang-and-danced her win as June Carter Cash in Walk The Line? Country Song offers more opportunities for Gwyneth to showcase her acting ability and musical ability, which she will also show in her guesting spot in Glees Season 2 (read full report here) as compared to the Iron Man franchise where she previosuly appeared.
