The creepy yet practical Web site which is in line for the upcoming Halloween celebration was first launched in June by CEO Roy Condrey. Houston Chronicle reports that since then, it has been busy accommodating a lot of requests with a not so high service fee of $11.99.

The Web site has gained a credible reputation due to a certified report that it sends to anyone who requests about the creepy information. It can help you search within the 50 states in the United States. So far, the widest range of customers come from the states of Florida and California. Laist reports that it can be all due to the passion of Californians with horror stories that include deaths and macabre within their state.

The CEO further explains that home sellers in California are required to share to their buyers the full background of their property, especially if someone has died in the house, at least for the past three years. But if the death happened more than this time frame, then the Civil Code Section 1710.2 does not require the owner anymore to disclose any of that thereof.

Another Web site called Gothamist further analysed through the FAQ of the site on how Diedinhouse.com was developed. The owner shared that he himself found out later on that someone died in his house before he even purchased it.

Skeptics About The Site

It could not be helped to still have some who doubt what the Web site offers especially when it is based on its disclaimer. All it can offer is to share the information it can have its hands on but not necessarily all the deaths that may have happened in a particular home.
