The spirit of Halloween took over the entire world on Oct 31. The day was celebrated to the hilt by everyone. Hollywood was also buzzing with Halloween parties and celebrations. "Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it," said Lindsay Lohan in movie "Mean Girls." But Hollywood witnessed a different trend. It had celebrities dressing up like other celebrities of tinsel town.

"Wrecking Ball" singer Miley Cyrus borrowed her Halloween avatar from American rapper Lil' Kim. She donned Lil' Kim's infamous costume from 1999's VMA. She posted a picture of herself wearing the infamous purple bodysuit. Exposing one of her bosom she sported a sparkling flowery pastie, a purple wig and purple makeup. "Wrecking Ball" singer Miley's costume was almost identical with that of Lil' Kim's and a picture of hers on twitter invited Lil' Kim's response who was in awe of Miley Cyrus in replica of her 1999's outfit.

Another attention grabbing Halloween get up was that of the TV show host Ellen De Generes. She was spotted in exactly the same outfit as "I Wanna Be with You" singer Nicki Minaj wore on her show "Ellen" in Sept and she pulled it off well. The infamous no-bra and unbuttoned-black-cropped-jacket look teamed with leather pants looked exactly the same as Nicki Minaj's on Sept. episode of the show "Ellen."

"This year I decided to go as something really scary ... half-naked. Of course, I'm Nicki Minaj. Nicki was on the show a few weeks ago and her shirt was not ... she took our show from PG to double D, that's what she did!" Ellen De Generes joked on during her Halloween episode opening monologue aired on Oct. 31.

We also got to see the funny side of the host Matt Lauer of "The Today Show" when he dressed as the sassy Pamela Anderson's character C.J. Parker of TV show "Baywatch." He wore the iconic red skimpy swimsuit and a wig to complete his funny and not sexy Halloween look for the Halloween episode on Thursday. But this is not the first time that Matt has dressed up as a woman. He has previously borrowed Jennifer Lopez's and Paris Hilton's looks too.

Other than these celebrities, comedian Joan Rivers too attracted attention in her obese avatar of "Wrecking Ball" star Miley Cyrus' twerk costume with a foam finger.
