The White House is first on the list. Several stories have been told that this haunted place is being visited by the ghosts of Thomas Jefferson, Willie Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln and a lot more. Some claimed the spirit of Mrs. Abigail Adams has often appeared in the East Room of the White House where she usually hung her clothes after laundry. Some stories noted a rose scent has been observed around the place along with the spirit of Lincoln's son allegedly roaming around the building.

Whaley House is another luxurious-looking haunted place with several stories claiming several ancient hangings occurred there. This American home is one of the most haunted in the U.S. with spirits of Thomas Waley and his family still lingering around. Currently, this has become a museum. Eerie incidents experienced inside the Whaley House were flickering lights and moving furniture.

India's Banghar Fort was an ancient city in India way back in the 17th century. Dark legends surrounding the area have kept people from visiting it after sunset. Several stories claimed the place has been cursed by a wizard using his black magic. It was the most haunted place in India with around 10,000 people who used to live in the forgotten town.

Another haunted location is the forest in Aokigahara, Japan. According to government statistics, about 100 people commit suicide each year in the forest. Even if you are skeptical about ghost haunting, some stories were told that those who visited the place died after being lost in the middle of the forest where most evil spirits live.
