Halo 4 News: Halo 4 Trailer and Multiplayer Preview
Microsoft recently gave a preview of the upcoming Halo 4 during the Microsoft press E3 conference in Los Angeles. Halo 4 is considered as one of the best games released in the past years due to the way it has involved players as well as for its gaming features.
Halo 4 is considered as one of the best games to date and this success has translated well in the market. Over 42 million copies of Halo 4 has been sold in the market and the revenue for its franchise could rake up to US$3 billion. This is the reason why the company is focused on recruiting new potential players and make it as interesting as possible especially for customers who are not that into gaming.
Halo 4 is aiming to achieve more than just coming back with brand new features. In fact, Microsoft is aiming to establish the future of gaming with the realease of Halo 4. Frank O'Connor, the franchise development director also expressed the same sentiment saying "It's been a case of finding the series' strengths and differentiators and then calculating where we can add to that recipe. Halo 4 is laying the foundations for the next decade of the franchise and so we need to strike the balance between being bold and ambitious but also grounded in our identity."
Based on the Halo 4 preview provided, the game is structured to be more of a TV series with free daily mission episodes. 343, the developer of the popular game announced that they will offer a free "Season One" that could downloaded daily which features co-op missions. This will be available once the series has been released. O' Conner explains this strategy stating "It's a significant amount of content: both gameplay and story-wise. And the story will matter. Characters you know and love will be effected in dramatic ways, the story driving the universe forward in a meaningful way." No news yet if Halo 4 would also release a second season.
Halo 4's story starts with a single player and then moes forward to being a multiplayer. This multiplayer feature marks as one of the highlights of Halo 4. Through this multiplayer feature, players would be able to choose their primary and secondary weapons and even their choice of grenade. Aside from that, armour ability can also be selected as well as saving a number of classes that players could choose to deploy when faced with different modes or strategies. There is also a faster sequence when it comes to combat and the encounters for Halo 4 are much more intense and hard.
Even if there are changes and tweaks for Halo 4, the core of the game remains the same. It would be hard to tell right now if Microsoft has achieved its goal of changing the dynamics of gaming through Halo 4. The best time to arrive at this conclusion is when Halo 4 will be released in the market. The target release date for Halo 4 is around November, 2012.
