‘Halo 5 Guardians’ Infinity’s Armor updates, January update, Forge addition teaser previewed with new images
343 Industries has teased some new information on the latest “Halo 5: Guardians” update, dubbed as The Infinity’s Armory update. It is already on its last leg of the update’s testing.
The good news here is that there does not seem to be any foreseeable delay that could prevent the Infinity’s Armor update from releasing this month. With the update comes new battlegrounds, weapons, skins and armours. Additionally, there will be tweaks and fixes to the gameplay.
As a quick teaser, 343 Industries has shown off in the latest Halo blog update some of the additional items and features. There are three armour sets coming, namely Atlas, Achilles and Mark V Alpha. In the new chart showcased by the developer, there are still blanked out weapons and items that have yet to be revealed. These include a new Legendary, Uncommon and Rare item. Other items, however, can already be clearly seen in the chart.
For instance, there’s the Legendary weapons Ehh, Arr and Locke and Loaded. Ultra Rare Boomco Magnum Blaster and Rare Scratched. Fans can also now see the Ultra Rare Infiltrator Saboteur and Enforcer Strongarm helmet and armour sets.
Two new maps are also coming with “Halo 5: Guardians” Infinity’s Armor update. The first is Riptide, which is a revamp of the Fathom, while Urban is variation of Warzone Assault, which will be on Noctus. 343 Industries added an extra goodie of screenshots per map, with Riptide seen above.
Multiplayer Level Designer Adrian Bedoya also had a few words to share about the creation of the Urban map. According to him, the team had tried to test the limits of gameplay and change the scenery of the Noctus map to bring terrain and vehicles into the spotlight.
“The added lines of sight from different areas along the street and home base area also add a new and fresh element of finding new areas for players to fight around,” said Bedoya over at Halo Waypoint.
Apart from the weapons, new items and two fresh maps, 343 Industries is also preparing to launch some new features for Forge. According to Inquisitr, the Forge Prefabs is a feature that allows players to create, save and even share their own creations. This was reportedly first sighted via a map-making tool.
343 Industries confirmed that the team sees it as a powerful tool for the Forge community. The new tool can actually create a new kind of forging way beyond just a level’s building phase but rather on pieces that can be used by others to be integrated into their own worlds.
