"Hannibal" Season 2 has an official air date of Feb 28 2014. Five new characters are reported to feature in the upcoming season. Here is a look at how the producers of the show make the popular TV show.

It takes eight days to shoot one high quality episode of "Hannibal." The planning for the episode begins with a concept meeting with Bryan Fuller, the director and all the department heads.

The script is discussed in detail at this meeting and a plan of action is arrived at, which can be implemented in seven days. After the meeting the plans for the sets are drawn up, prosthetics start moulding, special props are designed and the stunt men begin staging the fight sequences.

The director gets busy visiting different locations and finalises the locations that best suit the needs of the episode. Many of the scenes may be filmed in the city of Toronto. The director then meets with department heads to discuss the detailed plans.

The most important aspect of meeting with the department heads is to finalise the schedule. Each scene and its schedule are finalised even as the producers and the director juggle typical problems like the availability of the actors and unexpected weather problems.

"Hannibal" has some talented directors who have delivered in the first season. The directors include Tim Hunter, Guillermo Navarro, Michael Rymer, David Slade, John Dahl, James Foley, Peter Medak and David Semel.

"Hannibal" Season 2 will be airing one day after the premiere of the popular TV show "Vikings," which is now in its second season. Another popular TV show which is expected to air at the end of March 2014 is "Game of Thrones," giving fans something to look forward to in the New Year.
