The younger Prince of Wales has celebrated his 27th birthday yesterday and all through those years have made his own mark as the charming second son, but expectations are still high for him and his brother, William. Will he help bring back the lost glory of the British Monarchy?
Born on Sept. 15, 1984, Henry Charles Albert David, or simply Prince Harry, has had a colorful life under the wing of the Royal Family. Harry seems to be living under the shadow of his older brother, William but swiftly made his spotlight once he got older through the years.
The prince was considered to be a "party animal," during his teenage years, but quickly turned his life around once he realized the heavy responsibilities that lie with his heritage and legacy. After studying at various schools around the UK, Harry pursued a career in the military, a prime dependability expected from male members of the Royal Family.
Harry became a second lieutenant into the Household Cavalry Regiment and served with his older brother, William. After becoming a tank commander, Harry served in Afghanistan for 77 days, but was pulled out because of the army's unwanted publicity his presence caused.
On the romance part of his royal life, Harry is as active as his performance in the military. Unlike his quiet and reserved older brother, Harry seems to be overly pleased with the ladies. The Prince has been linked with the likes of Pippa Middleton and lingerie model Florence Brudenell-Bruce after his long term relationship with Zimbabwean heiress Chelsea Davy.
No matter what kind of gossip circulates around Prince Harry, his positive influence is still highly respectable. It was proven when the Prince attended a charity event for one of London's biggest financial firms, BGC. The Prince took the call and broke the world record for the highest currency trade of $29billion.It was reported that Harry spent his special day training at RAF Wattisham airfield.
