Happy Chinese New Year 2014! Or better yet, Kung Hei Fat Choi! Some people also say Gong Xi Fa Cai! However you wish to phrase your greetings for the New Lunar Year, one thing's for sure: the whole world is celebrating with the Chinese for this big event. What's in store for the Year of the Horse? Read on to find out more about it.

Every time the Chinese New Year is ushered in, a lot of people, even those who are not Chinese celebrate along with them and even do the traditions that the Chinese do to welcome the New Year such as creating a Rice Wealth Bowl. According to Feng Shui Expert Christine Bové, preparing a Rice Wealth Bowl to welcome the Chinese New Year is a traditional ritual that has brought success to her clients, including getting new jobs, having money to pay for their debt and a whole lot more. Watch the video above to see how a Rice Wealth Bowl is prepared.

A lot of people are also curious about the Chinese New Year 2014 horoscope or astrology, including their Chinese zodiac animals and the accompanying predictions for the Year of the Horse in 2014. According to the Chinese Fortune Calendar, 2014 is the Year of the Green Wooden Horse.

The World of Feng Shui (WOFS) says that women should display General Hua Mu Lan's image in the Southwest so that they can get ahead in 2014. This will make them victorious and powerful. On the other hand, men should put the Vairocana Stupa in the Northwest because they are afflicted with the Five Yellow star which could reverse their fortune if it isn't suppressed.

For those who want to get married, WOFS claims that this 2014 is the perfect year to get hitched especially because the Romantic Star dominates the centre during this time. But, this is only good for couples who have been dating for a long time. For new romances in 2014, it is not such a good year because it might not last long due to the Star of External Romance.

Couples are also advised to display the Rooster with the Fan to protect against infidelity.

World Of Feng Shui Philippines president and CEO Marites Allen also said that this will be an aggressive Horse year that's why people should be more low key and protect themselves by reducing unnecessary risks. It is best to display the image of Lord Kubera to control the wild Horse. She also advises people to be vigilant in recognising and taking advantage of wealth-making opportunities despite unfortunate events. Plus, to safeguard against thieves and robbers, wear the Anti Burglary Amulet.

For those who have businesses, it will be lucky for the first two quarters only. By July 2014, it wouldn't be good that's why WOFS advises to get out of the markets by that time.

For more luck in the Year of the Horse, wear the lucky colours of blue and yellow and surround yourself with earth and water elements.
