This news may come as a sigh of relief for Robsten's fans. Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson may not be dating after all. Recent reports suggest that Perry and Pattinson are nothing more than friends, putting to rest rumors regarding their budding romance.

According to Latin Post, Katy Perry has revealed that she and Pattinson could never date.

"Okay, so here's the proof there was never anything going on with me and Robert Pattinson. I fart in front of him. Properly fart. And I never, ever fart in front of a man I am dating. That's a rule."

Moreover, Perry and Pattinson reportedly have a brother and sister like relationship. "He's my bud, I'm like his big sister," she said, adding, "We just hang out. The other day, I said, 'One of the things I'm most proud of is not sleeping with you, Robert.' And that's true."

Perry and Pattinson dating rumors swirled when a drunken video of the couple surfaced. In the video Perry was seen sitting on Pattinson's lap and singing away to glory. Later it was revealed that Perry has been leaning on Pattinson for support since her break-up from her long time beau, John Mayer.

Rumor had it that Perry and Pattinson have been frequently texting each other. Apparently, the so-called friends were sending some really intimate texts to each other.

"The texting stepped up in January when things started going bad between Katy and John," the source revealed, adding, "Rob's been a real shoulder for her to cry on. Since he's been single, though, the texts have hotted up -- she loves drunk texting him and they're always flirty."

However, if Perry has to be believed then things might not be leading to romance between her and Pattinson. Does that mean Kristen Stewart still has a chance to reunite with her ex-lover?
