Actor Harrison Ford will reportedly go back to the "Star Wars: Episode VII" set despite doctor's orders for him to rest after the on-set accident at Pinewood Studios.

According to an article in Huffington Post, a source stated: "Clearly he won't be able to do any physically demanding scenes and even walking will be a problem. But there are certain scenes that can be worked around Harrison's injury."

Ben Ford, the actor's son also speculated that the crew could make use of camera trickery by slightly altering the film shooting. He stated that the crew could just shoot certain scenes from the waist up until Harrison Ford recovers from the injury.

The 71-year old star will be going back to the "Star Wars: Episode VII" set to reprise his role as Han Solo which was also his role in the original trilogy of films.

It was originally thought that the actor's ankle was damaged when he was crushed by the hydraulic door. According to an article from The Guardian, the hydraulic door which caused Ford's accident could have been the door of Star Wars spacecraft the Millenium Falcon.

The actor was airlifted to the hospital and was reported by Huffington Post to probably miss six to eight weeks of filming while he is still recuperating.

But recent update from the star's spokeswoman Ina Treciokas revealed that it's not a broken ankle but a broken leg. Treciokas did not provide further details but she mentioned that the actor was looking forward to return back to work.

"Harrison Ford's left leg was broken in an accident. His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work," Treciokas stated.

The spokeswoman did not deny or confirm the rumours about the door which caused the accident. She stated that there isn't any additional information at this time.

Disney/Lucas film released a statement following Harrison Ford's incident. The company stated that shooting would continue as planned while Ford is recuperating.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is directed by J.J. Adams. It is expected to hit the cinemas on Dec. 18, 2015.
