A 33-year-old Chicago guy did everything to impress his girlfriend who is an obsessed Harry Potter fan. He spent a total of five months just to plan a one of a kind wedding proposal that carries a Harry Potter theme.

To make things more challenging, Jaysin Osterkamp organised a scavenger hunt that will make his girlfriend Andrea Tyler to solve riddles and eventually be led to a cute treasure chest where the ring is waiting, Daily Mail UK stated.

He cut a hole in a Harry Potter book to create a unique compartment where the ring will be kept hidden. When he got down on one knee and asked the big question, the 29-year-old Ms Tyler only said nothing else but "Yes!"

The soon-to-be groom works at the Night Owls Media company as a wedding cinematographer. And to plan the "heavily truncated quest of puzzles, trivia, and riddles" took about five months to finish. Ms Osterkamp added that the proposal is originally intended to last for a day but with the limit in his chosen locations, he had no choice but to narrow things down a bit.

In the end though, all he can say is that everything paid off well with his girlfriend crying with tears of job when he popped the question. The video of their Harry Potter-themed proposal was captured by Mr Osterkamp's friend Scott Painter and currently had 12,388 views over at Vimeo.

Both of them have become Harry Potter fans since the time its very first book came out in 1997. The engaged couple will tie the knot by 2015 after seven years of going steady.

Surely, they would organise a Harry Potter-themed wedding too with every guest "wearing Hogwarts school robes."
