The latest and last Harry Potter movie "the Deathly Hallows part 2" has already brought in $25 million USD in ticket reservations alone, and it's set to overthrow box office records after the opening weekend.

The last installment of the Harry Potter movie franchise is gearing up to break box office records, accumulating $25 million USD in advanced ticket sales in one country alone. Deathly Hallows part 2 is expected to run over Twilight: Eclipse's record of amassing $30 million USD on preview shows worldwide. While another Twilight movie (New Moon) is currently sitting pretty holding the record of the biggest single day gross ever ($72m USD), critics are certain the new Harry Potter movie will defeat the record by a huge margin.

The Dark Knight remains the king of all box office movies as it continues to hold the record for biggest opening weekend sales at $158m USD in just 3 days. The part 1 of the Deathly Hallows series scored $125 million during its opening weekend and making $954 million in ticket sales on the end of its run. All in all, Harry Potter films have made $6 billion USD in ticket sales all across the globe, not bad for a series of novels that were written "out of boredom".

Just recently, cast members of the Deathly Hallows part 2 gathered in New York to celebrate the premiere. Although fans in the US and UK are already sharing stories about their Deathly Hallows part 2 experience, some unfortunate fans in India and Australia were left frustrated because of theatre technical difficulties and additional charges from multiplexes.
