Harry Potter star Rupert Grint feels free over franchise finale
Harry Potter leadstar Rupert Grint said he feels free that the franchise had finished its last two films, the two-part finale Deathly Hallows. Grint played Ronald Weasley in the Harry Potter series since the franchise began with its first film nine years ago.
'I feel free after all these years. It's been nine years,' told an interviewer inside the Virgin Media Louder Lounge.
But his job as one of the series' lead actors is not yet over. The twenty-one year old said " it's weird because we'll still have to do all the promos to the film next summer after feeling like it's over."
In the same interview, Grint expressed his desire to try his hand at one of Shakespeare's plays. He said that this would establish his credential as an actor.
But the actor said he would not appear naked on the stage, like his co-star Daniel Radcliffe did in Equus.
"I would love to do some theatre, but I refuse to get my kit off," Grint said "I would do anything before doing that."
The British actor is due to appear next year in a film about British skiier Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards.
