'Harry Potter's' Emma Watson to Star in Scarlett Johansson's Diretorial Debut Film 'Summer Crossing' [PHOTOS]
Following in the steps of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett is working on her directorial debut "Summer Crossing." Casting is set to begin and rumour has it Scarlett has got her eye out for a British beauty. Emma Watson of "Harry Potter" is to take on the lead role that is if Scarlett Johansson does pick her out for the part.
Emma Watson certainly got the attention of a few A-list celebrities after playing the ditzy all-American girl of "The Bling Ring." In fact, all thanks to her incredible acting in the Sofia Coppola directed film Emma is eyed for another big shot production.
Following in the steps of her "Don Jon" co-star and director Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson is working on her directorial film debut which is the film adaptation of Truman Capote's novel, "Summer Crossing." Casting has yet to begin but Scarlett already has a favourite in mind of who is none other than "Harry Potter's" Emma Watson.
The Lancôme ambassadress leads the shortlist for the part of Grady McNeil, the 17 year old New Yorker who married a Jew in the year 1940s. Back then, marrying a Jew caused quite the controversy. Apparently, Johansson was blown away by Emma's acting in "The Bling Ring" where she portrayed a teenager despite already being 23 years of age.
Sources claim Emma Watson is pleased that Scarlett has eyed her for the part. For Watson, this would be another opportunity to ditching her goody two shoes image for a sexier leading lady role.
"This is the perfect next step for her. Not only is she a big fan of Capote, but she also wants to be considered a screen siren and believes Scarlett can help make that happen," states a source to Daily Mail.
Hopefully, Scarlett does cast Emma Watson in her film "Summer Crossing." Check out the slideshow to see more photos of the lovely and sexy Emma Watson.
