Harry Styles Australia tour 2017: Styles to play intimate shows in Sydney, Melbourne; Tickets go on sale May 5
Former One Direction member Harry Styles will be coming to Australia in November this year. The curly-haired hottie, who announced his first-ever tour as a solo artist, will hit the road in September to promote his upcoming self-titled debut album. Styles will play shows across North America and Europe before coming to Sydney and Melbourne in November.
After branching out on a solo career, Styles, who has a huge fan following, announced the 30-date Harry Styles Live On Tour. For the upcoming performances, Styles wants to take a break from the familiar jam-packed stadium tours, which were normal with 1D, and go for smaller and intimate venues, like Sydney’s Enmore Theatre and Melbourne’s Forum Theatre.
Styles will release his debut album on Friday, May 12. The album will have 10 songs, including the lead single “Sign of the Times,” which topped the charts in almost a hundred countries. It also has the song “Ever Since New York,” which Styles performed exclusively on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
Tickets for his Aussie shows go on sale on Friday, May 5. Since the venues are small, Styles will cater to only a limited number of fans. The intimate shows mean that there will be a place for approximately 2000 people compared to 20,000, which his fans are used to. The “Sweet Creature” singer has booked the Enmore Theatre in Sydney and the Forum in Melbourne, both of which have capacities of 2200 and 1500, respectively. There is no doubt these tickets will sell out instantly.
Frontier Touring, the promoter of Harry Styles Live On Tour, has taken a number of steps to ensure tickets do not get hoarded. Only two tickets are allowed per transaction after successful verification processes through valid IDs and credit cards at the venue. If the person himself or herself has not purchased the tickets, he or she will not be able to attend the show. For Sydney, physical tickets won’t be issued until October. No physical tickets will be given for Melbourne.
Styles has released his new song “Sweet Creature," featuring acoustic guitar and sad vocals. “I know when we started/Two hearts in one home/It gets harder when we argue/We're both stubborn/I know but oh.” Check out the song below and see the dates of Harry Styles Australia tour 2017 as well.
