Harry Styles Feels Lucky Ex-Girlfriend Taylor Swift Wrote a Song About Him [VIDEOS]

Harry Styles feels lucky that he has become a Taylor Swift song. The One Direction singer responded to reports that he is the subject of his ex-girlfriend’s song “Out of the Woods.”

Styles and Swift dated for a few months until January 2013. And like the American songstress’ other former boyfriends, Styles reportedly also has a song written about him. For the 20-year-old English crooner, his song is apparently “Out of the Woods.”

The song is said to reference a snowmobile accident Swift and Styles were involved in Utah while they were dating, with the lyrics including:

“Remember when you hit the brakes too soon

Twenty stitches in a hospital room

When you started crying

Baby, I did, too

But when the sun came up

I was looking at you

Remember when we couldn’t take the heat

I walked out, I said, I’m setting you free

But the monsters turned out to be just trees

When the sun came up

You were looking at me”

There are also lines in the song mentioning a necklace and two aeroplanes, which are widely speculated about the matching aeroplane necklaces the former lovebirds wore at one time. Swift doesn’t reveal the inspirations for her songs, though, so it’s unlikely the public would know for sure if she was indeed thinking of Styles when she wrote the critically acclaimed track.

Nevertheless, Styles still responded to reports that “Out of the Woods” is about him. During a Google Hangout on Sunday, director Ben Winston asked him how he feels about it.

“We always say that we write from personal experience. I think everyone does. So it would be hypocritical of us to be like, ‘Oh you can’t write songs.’ And she’s really good so they’re good songs. So I’m really lucky in that sense,” he replied.

Styles recently caused confusion among his fans when he claimed the gender of a person doesn’t matter to him in dating. Styles and fellow One Direction star Liam Payne sat down with ODE for an interview when they were asked what traits they look for in a female.

“Female, that’s a good trait,” Payne joked, to which, Styles sarcastically retaliated, “Not that important.”

Although he appeared to be just joking, some of his fans interpreted his words to say that he is bisexual. He already claimed in a previous interview that he’s “pretty sure” he isn’t bisexual.
