Harry Styles gets hit in the face with soda can on stage, 1D fans furious [Watch Video]
Harry Styles received a surprising reaction from a fan during One Direction’s show at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Tuesday. The singer got a painful whack on his face from a soda can, while performing on stage.
The video below shows Styles walking alone on stage when suddenly something flies through the air and lands on his face. A fan-made Twitter account named Harry Styles also shared another video taken from the group’s performance, which reportedly shows the person responsible for throwing the can at Harry. A girl from the footage is seen jumping up and down in glee after the can smacked the singer’s face.
One Direction fans were not pleased with what has happened, especially the 21-year old’s mother Anne. Harry’s mum, who according to Now Magazine goes by the name Twister Mom on Twitter, expressed her anger at the reckless action of the girl considering anyone from the group could have been seriously hurt.
In a couple of tweets, Twister Mom called out on the girl in the video by retweeting One Direction ’s video of the incident along with the caption, “So dangerous THINK!!!” and added an angry face emoticon to show her frustration.
The One Direction fan’s video has so far received over 2,000 likes and 3,000 retweets. Users also expressed their anger at the girl, with one saying, “somebody find her so I can beat the living s**t out of her.” Another fan wrote, “Im a harry girl if someone hurts him I hurt them, this wasn’t funny at all.”
According to a commentator on One Direction fan’s video, the girl in the clip is Polish and goes by the name of @/hannacooke17 on Twitter. It’s believed she wanted Harry to notice her and thought throwing the can at him would do the trick. A translation of the girl’s post on her Twitter page has been posted by 1D Updates.
However, it seems the girl’s intentions have backfired, and now fans of Harry are all over Twitter badmouthing her.
Some fans also checked on Harry’s condition after their Philadelphia concert. It’s reported that after the incident he kept touching his face to check if he was bleeding from the attack.
The singer has yet to respond to fans’ concerns and the can incident. However, he has expressed his gratitude to One Direction fans in Philadelphia on his Twitter .
Prior to One Direction’s show, Harry stopped by the Campus Corner pizza shop on Villanova University’s campus for some pizza takeout, according to ABC Action News . A few photos of the singer with some of the shop’s customers have been posted by the site.
