Harry Styles wanted to meet Mark Wahlberg after hearing that the older actor threatened to punch him in the face. The One Direction singer invited Mark and his family to one of their shows to show that he understood Mark’s sense of humour.

Earlier in January, Mark guest starred in the U.S. late night show “Conan,” and he told the titular host Conan O’Brien how his daughters were first excited to be a part of his new film, “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” but their affection was quickly transferred to the boys of One Direction.

“My four-year-old was like, ‘Daddy, I like Harry.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, I’m gonna punch Harry in the nose when I see him,’” the “Lone Survivor” star quipped to Conan.

“And she pulls out pictures of him that she’s hiding in the room and I pretend I was gonna rip them up and I get jealous. But when I see that little prick... he’s gonna get it.”

Mark went on to reveal his plan on how to lure One Direction, saying that he would say that he needs them for the soundtrack of the “Transformers” film. And when he gets them in one room, he would “beat the crap” out of Harry and the rest of the boys – Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson.

But the 42-year-old actor did get serious for a while. He said that he will try to get his two daughters (Ella Rae, 10, and Grace Margaret, 4) to meet One Direction.

“I’d rather do it now. My eldest daughter is ten, and she’s into them as well. And that would be the only time I would introduce them to a boy.”

And it seems like Mark would be able to do that in the near future. According to a new report, Harry found Mark’s threat of bodily harm actually funny so he would want to invite him and his family to one of the band’s concerts.

“Harry saw the clips of Mark threatening to beat him up online and thought what he said was very funny,” the Daily Star Sunday newspaper quoted a source as saying.

“He is a big fan of his movies so he wanted to say that he appreciated his humour. He told his U.S. team to contact Mark and offer him and his family the full VIP treatment.”

“Transformers: Age of Extinction” is set to be released on June 27 in the U.S.
