Alicia Keys has used her celebrity status, pregnancy and nudity to raise awareness for certain social issues including poverty, gender discrimination, children of war, accessible healthcare and racial injustice. The heavily pregnant American R&B singer-songwriter got completely naked and posted a picture of her on Instagram.

In a bid to raise awareness about a new social ecology campaign "We Are Here," the 33-year-old singer is seen supporting a Peace sign in white paint across her pregnant belly. Alicia hides her naked breasts with both her hands as her beaded-braided hair fall across her shoulders. The camera only focuses on her body waist above. Check out her picture here. Keys is of the opinion that there are certain social issues that can be tacked only when people join hands and get together hence she asked other celebrities to join her campaign.

Alicia said that her new campaign is based on "the idea of social ecology" where every person is related to another. There is a need to work together in "harmony" so that a better world can be created to live in. The singer also created a website dedicated to the cause, which can be seen here.

The "Girl on Fire" singer then went on to explain her purpose behind the new campaign. "As I prepare to give birth to my new child, I can't help but think what world I'm bringing the baby into. We see the state of the world today and we can all feel the frustration and the desire to do something to make it better," said Keys.

The singer further added that we as individuals always want to do something to change the world around us but are do not feel very empowered to take the initiative. This is the reason she has started this "We Are Here" campaign to get everyone together. Her full message can be read here.

Alicia's topless photo, coupled with powerful message, has attracted a lot of celebrities to join her in her campaign. The singer was supported in her effort by pop singer Madonna, Sean Penn, Jimmy Fallon, Usher and Kelly Rowland, among others. The talented singer herself has pledged $1,000,000 of her own money to the cause of "We Are Here."
