Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are back on reality TV, just when people thought they're gone for good. The highly vilified couple in the history of reality television for their devious roles on "The Hills," returned on ABC's hit show, "Celebrity Wife Swap." Montag for one said she has been very excited about the show because she was able to show her true and authentic self, which she said she was not able to do back on "The Hills."

According to Fox News, Heidi just jumped on the opportunity to be part of the "Celebrity Wife Swap" because she loves thes show herself. "I'm a huge fan of the show," Heidi told FOX411. "So, when we had the opportunity to do it, I just jumped right on it!"

In fact, Heidi believed the show allowed her to be her true self, which she never got the chance to do back in "The Hills."

Even her own mom is on the same boat with Heidi being on "Celebrity Wife Swap" and how authentic she was while on it. Long-lost fans were suddenly rooting for her too on various social media platforms.

"I've had the most positive response from this out of anything I've ever done-on Twitter and Instagram-everything," Heidi said. "People are really excited about this, which I'm really glad about because it's my favorite thing that we've ever done within our careers. My mom saw the preview and she told me, 'I can tell this is the first opportunity that you've ever had to be you.' It's just great to have that moment. It was really fun to just be more authentic and be in a situation and see what happens. I'm shocked at how amazing it was. I'm really thrilled with everything, from beginning to end." Fox News reports.

It did not hurt that Heidi swapped with someone exciting and into a household completely different from how she is living with Spencer Pratt. It really added to her excitement, Montag shared to Fox News.

She swapped places with four-time Olymoian Amanda Beard, who resides in the rural area of Washington state with her husband, Sacha Brown.

"I mean, I had no idea where I was going," explained Heidi of her initial reaction driving through the rugged woods southwest of Seattle. "I thought that it was that guy who lived in a tree and builds the tree houses! The last person I ever thought I was ever going to swap with was Amanda Beard, that's for sure." Apparently, she forgot it's the "Celebrity Wife Swap" so she cannot just be with just the guy who builds tree houses.

Aside for the chance to be back on reality TV and showcase their true selves, Heidi and Spencer were also in it for the money. The two signed up for "Celebrity Wife Swap" and reportedly earned themselves $50k pay checque, Mail Online UK reports.
