'Hellboy' 2019 reboot poster released
The first poster of the “Hellboy” 2019 reboot has been released online. The character will not only get a fresh story, but also a new look that is different from the previous two movies.
The poster [see below] shows the superhero having his horns grow out a little. The tip has not been revealed, but it appears to be broken. It remains to be seen if that story will be told in the film.
Hellboy gets a fantastic new weapon that seems to be straight from hell. The fiery sword looks menacing, but it doesn’t harm the flesh of the superhero. This is also different from the movies in which the primary weapon of the character is a massive gun.
The trademark right hand will continue to be the same in the reboot. Fans who have seen the first movie from the franchise will remember this to be the key that can unlock a demon god from his prison and bring about the destruction of the world.
According to the official plot, the movie will be about Hellboy fighting a new villain. An ancient sorceress will be back, and it will be up to the superhero to stop this villain. The main theme continue to be about the character being a person of two worlds, caught between the supernatural and the human.
More details about the plot, and perhaps the first teaser trailer, is expected at the New York Comic Con this weekend. A team from the reboot is expected to share some details about the film during a panel discussion.
“Hellboy” reboot has been directed by Neil Marshall. The film is set to be released on April 12, 2019 in the US. The producers are yet to announce a release date for Australia. The cast members include David Harbour as the protagonist, Milla Jovovich (Nimue the Blood Queen), and Ian McShane (Professor Bruttenholm).
