Gideon Cross will eventually be seen in television via serial programming, or the big screen in a film trilogy. Like Christian Grey, "this other sexy billionaire" off the pages of an erotic series, has a huge fan base. Many of Cross' fans see Man of Steele 2013 Henry Cavill or Brit supermodel David Gandy for the role.

Gideon Cross may not be as vastly popular as Christian Grey worldwide, but both characters are often mentioned in social networks and entertainment forum sites. The more popular Christian Grey is the hero in newbie author E.L. James' "Fifty Shades of Grey." Gideon Cross is from the "Crossfire" (Bared to You) series of the more experienced novelist, Sylvia Day.

Superman Cavill and supermodel Gandy have the build and the vibe of sexy billionaire Gideon Cross. Either one of them would be fantastic in television or movie as Mr Cross. However, could any of these celebrities take the role if ever they get an offer?

"Lionsgate-home of the Twilight saga, Hunger Games trilogy, and episodic programming including Mad Men and Nurse Jackie-has optioned the rights and the property is in the early stages of development," reads the announcement on Sylvia Day's web site.

It is difficult to imagine Gandy taking on a film let alone TV role that is going to take a huge chunk of his busy schedule. The 32-year-old model recently told the Telegraph he is on "85 to 90 flights a year."

Cavill, on the other hand, is expected to be an even busier actor after Man of Steele 2013 runs in worldwide cinemas in June. Incidentally, he is also one of the top favorites to play the role of Christian Grey under Focus Pictures.

Whoever gets to play the Christian Grey or Gideon Cross role better be universally hot and dazzling. Otherwise, fans will suffer a huge letdown.
