Hilary Duff Finally Responds to Ex-Boyfriend Aaron Carter’s Declaration of Love

Hilary Duff finally spoke up about ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter’s undying love for her, and she doesn’t appear to harbour the same feelings for him.

The 26-year-old former “Lizzie Maguire” star and the “I Want Candy” crooner were a young power couple back in 2001. However, in between two years of on-off dating Duff, Carter allegedly dated Lindsay Lohan and left Duff. That didn’t end there, though.

He then left Lohan to get back together with Duff. His girlfriend-shuffling apparently caused the feud between the two young actresses.

Fast forward to 2014, Duff has been married and is now separated from her husband, Canadian NHL player Mike Comrie. They have one son together. Carter, on the other hand, has never been married, but was engaged to former Playboy model Kari Ann Peniche. He broke their engagement, allegedly saying it was an impulsive move for him to propose.

Following news of Duff and Comrie’s separation, Carter saw an opportunity to get back with the “love of his life.”

He wrote cryptic messages on Twitter in March, saying that he was stupid to let go of his love. When a fan asked outright if he was talking about Duff, he replied “Sure am!”
