Hilary Duff Is Not Comfortable With Aaron Carter's Obsession, 'I Don't Want Him To Be Hurt'
At 27, Hilary Duff has undergone so many things in life that she reportedly cannot afford to dwell on the past anymore. For her, any childhood stuff she's going to dwell upon would be Luca's, her son. This means she and Aaron Carter, who were childhood sweethearts, would never have a reconciliation, no matter how much Aaron Carter wants one, the singer-actress recently shared in an interview.
In an interview with Elle Canada, the former Disney star shared she's not comfortable with questions on Aaron Carter. When she was asked what she felt about Aaron's tweets, who was almost professing his undying love to her, Hilary said, "Oh, God, I feel so uncomfortable right now. I don't know what to say."
The "Someone's Watching Over Me" singer even said that if she talks more about it, the more the issue would not stop. For her, it was a relationship that started and ended in the past, and should stay there. "The more I talk about it, the more I think he's going to talk about it. We were like 13 and 14.... I don't want him to be hurt—I don't want to make anyone feel like that—but it's time to move on. I have," the actress explained.
Hilary Duff also said the feelings people have in young love, in general, could never be replicated when they turn adults. She said the excitement and feelings one have for their first loves, or when they were young, cannot be felt similarly when one becomes adult because they are never going to be that age anymore.
It could be remembered that Aaron Carter had once told ET that even though he does not know who Hilary is now, he's still willing to sweep her off her feet given the chance. He also took to Twitter to relay his feelings. After retweeting a picture of Hilary, he said he's willing to spend his whole life improving himself for her.
I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think.

If Hilary is not willing to reconcile with Aaron, she's still open to embrace Mike Comrie, Luca's father, back into her life. They're technically separated, but a divorce has not been filed yet because they still think there's a chance they could work things out. Meanwhile, she's already fine and contented with her son, Luca, and her impending comeback on the entertainment scene. After a seven-year break, Hilary is set to release her fifth studio album this winter and star in a new comedy series "Younger" to be aired on January 2015.
