Hilary Duff said she was obsessed with food ones- not eating them, that is. She said she let the pressure to be slim get to her and it was an unhealthy phase of her life, a far cry from her attitude to her food and body now.

In her interview with the December issue of Health, she shared that she was once rail-thin at 98 lbs. At 17, she shared that she was very picky with all things she put into her mouth. Instead of looking good, however, she looks very skinny and she would suffer from malnutrition. "I was totally obsessed with everything I put in my mouth. I was way too skinny. Not cute. And my body wasn't that healthy -- my hands would cramp up a lot because I wasn't getting the nutrition I needed," Hilary divulged.

The former Disney shared that she ended up trying to please everyone by wanting to have something different from what she had. However, a decade passed and she's now wiser about her body and weight. She now thinks she put more effort and time necessary into thinking of her body and weight that she should have. She shared that she's now embracing her natural athletic build. She added that there is no cause to be ashamed of her athletic frame because it was able to do amazing things, like giving birth to Luca, her son, naturally and strongly. She dropped some of the pregnancy weight through boxing and still struggle with looking toned with her 5 feet 2 height, but she feels good about herself.

It was not easy to reach this point, Hilary says. After giving birth to Luca, there was a huge pressure for her to slim down. Every time she goes out, the media would be snapping away at her post birth body. She shared that she'll just be on an errand run and she would already see her pictures on magazines. She claimed that in general, women face immense pressure to look slim.

In the same interview, Hilary also said that her relationship with her ex and the father of Luca, Mike Comrie, is still loving. Even though they are together, they have a strong relationship and they are trying to figure out what could make them the most happy. They're not divorced yet, and she have hinted to US Weekly that a reconciliation would not be impossible.
