HIMYM: Josh Radnor Spills How The Cast Will Meet The Mother First Before Ted (With Video)
So Ted is finally meeting the girl with the yellow umbrella and everyone is super excited for the final season premiere of How I Met Your Mother . HIMYM star Josh Radnor says that he is thrilled that fans have the chance to meet the Mother first, before even Ted get to say hello.
"There was always the question of when will we meet this gal? Will it be the last moment of the series, he turns and there she is? Will we never see her? And I thought it was really smart to introduce her at the end of last season and now they're threading her through the season," he says.
Cristin Milioti will be playing the infamous Mother whom HIMYM fans has been trying to guess since the CBS series started in 2005. Not only will she charm Lily on the show's season 9 but she will win Ted's heart when shared an "exciting' screen time together.
The show's entire season 9 will take place over the course of Barney and Robin's wedding weekend. According to Nina Tassler, CBS entertainment president, she confirms that the Season 9 entire run will be around the wedding weekend where each character meets the mother before Ted.
So fans can get to know the Mother gradually as each character will meet her individually. This will save the fans from a season full of awkward meetings, and the shows attempt to squeeze her into the group's dynamics.
Less than a week away and the anticipation is building up as Cristin Milioti spills dorky new details about The Mother.
"I think she's a loveable nerd. I think she's a history nerd, I think she's a music nerd, she's like a literary nerd, she's very funny, hopelessly awkward." Milioti reveals with a smile, "She's actually kind of a little bit like the female version of Ted, I think."
Milioti will share her first screen scene with Radnor in the show's final premiere, and the two will be sharing a kiss for the first time. "We are shooting our first scene together today, our first fake kiss. Well it'll be a real kiss but it's fake because we have to do it", Radnor reveals.
