New official posters of the Elvenking Thranduil and Tauriel have been released by the producers of "Hobbit 3." The images form a part of a series of posters released by the producers from the upcoming movie to give the fans a glimpse of what to expect.

Thranduil is the king of the Woodland Elves. He was seen as a cautious king who chose not interfere in the affairs of the world in the previous movies. The trailer of "Hobbit 3" however showed an Elvish army joining the battle. Will Thranduil finally change his mind? Click here to see the poster.

The trailer also showed Thorin choosing to go to war. But in the past he has been reluctant to take the help of the elves, who he sees as the people who betrayed the dwarves when the dragon Smaug attacked their homeland. Will Thorin finally seek the help of Thranduil in his war against the orcs.

The Pale orc Azog the defiler is seen secretly marching with his army to the Lonely Mountain. If Sauron controls the riches of the Lonely Mountain it could spell disaster to the people of the Middle-earth.

Tauriel is one character who is seen to be eager to fight the rising evil. She is not found in the books written by J.R.R. Tolkien, but was added only in the movies. She is the captain of the Elven guards of Thranduil. Click here to see her poster.

Will Tauriel take part in the final battle in "Hobbit 3"? The armies of orcs, men, elves, dwarves and eagles are all set to battle each other in the upcoming movie. The dragon Smaug was driven out of the Lonely Mountain in the previous movie and was seen unleashing his fury on the defenceless people of Lake-town in the trailer.

Thorin will forget honour and friendship when he will go on to search for the legendary Arkenstone. He will be plagued by the same dragon-sickness that had affected his grandfather before the arrival of Smaug. Will his friend Gandalf the wizard be able to save him and the rest of the middle-earth in "Hobbit 3"?
