The first TV spot for "The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies" has been released. The short video contains few never before seen footage from the movie along with scenes from trailers released earlier. [Spoiler Alert!]

The new footage from the movie includes one where Bilbo Baggins comes running on a bridge to see ruined buildings and smoke in the background. This may be the result of the attack by Smaug the dragon on Lake-town at the foothills of the Lonely Mountain. Fans of the franchise will remember that the dragon was driven out by the dwarves in the previous movie.

Fans of the franchise may have already seen most of the battle scenes and the scene where Smaug attacks Lake-town in the previously released trailers. One additional scene in the new video is that of Bilbo Baggins being attacked by the new war bats.

Two notable scenes in the new video are of Kili and Balin. Kili is eager to take the fight to the enemy and does not wish to wait while "others" fight their enemies. He also shares a tender moment with Tauriel of the Woodland Elves in "The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies."

Balin is seen saying the dwarves cannot win the fight they are in. Fans of the franchise who have seen the previous trailers will remember that Thorin chose to go to war even against the advice of some of his well wishers. A big contingent of the Woodland Elves will descend on the Lonely Mountain with King Thranduil wanting to reclaim something that belongs to him.

Their attack may not last long as Sauron's army of orcs led by Azog the Defiler has been secretly despatched to claim the treasures of the Lonely Mountain. Will the Elves have no choice but to fight the orcs to save themselves?

The new video has Gandalf's voice in the background saying that the forces of the Middle-earth will now have to choose a side. The victory or defeat of Sauron's army will impact all races and will influence the future events in Middle-earth.
